My Voice Can Move Mountains: Unlocking Parents' Power through Advocacy
How can Family Support programs enhance the ability of families to effect change?
Supporting parents and caregivers to advocate for their children and other families is a vital part of building strong communities and ensuring the well-being of every child. This virtual training of trainers will equip staff with strategies and tools to engage, motivate, and support families to recognize and utilize their power to seek systems change.
Staff will learn how to host and conduct an effective workshop for families called My Voice Can Move Mountains.

The workshop is designed to introduce families to advocacy and to utilize their voices as champions for change to make a difference in the larger community. The training is co-led by experienced staff in the Family Support field who have successful trained parents to advocate for themselves and their communities.
Recommended participants: Management and Direct Service staff in the Family Support field
